Alia Bhatt has had a dream start. The actress received wonderful reviews for her performance in SOTY and now according to reports, the actress will be seen opposite Randeep Hooda in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Highway’. Imitiaz Ali, who has directed some of the finest romantic movies in recent times like Jab We Met and Rockstar, is all set to direct the newcomer Alia and Randeep who was last seen in Jism 2.

It is being said that the film is a love story of two extremely opposite people. It will be exciting to watch the young and chirpy Alia romancing Randeep Hooda.

A month back news were rife that Imitiaz was very keen on casting Ranbir and Deepika for a film, but due to Ranbir’s busy schedule, who’s is currently shooting for two back-to-back films, Abhinav Singh Kashyap’s BESHARAM and Anurag Kashyap’s BOMBAY VELVET, Imitiaz decided to move ahead and start his other project HIGHWAY.

The film will be produced by Imtiaz Ali and Sajid Nadiadwala.
Imtiaz is famously known for the magic he can create between a new lead pair. Do you think he can recreate the majic with Randeep and Alia?

Alia Bhatt was slapped for the first time in her life by Randeep Hooda, while shooting for Imtiaz Ali's Highway.

Alia, the youngest in her family, has never been slapped even by her parents, Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan. But of course she's a true-blood professional and was game to take the slap to make the scene look authentic.
